The registration fee is non-refundable
The PETET registration fee is non-refundable once your application has been submitted and your payment confirmed. At that moment your application number is issued, your examination entitlement is created and your place in the session is reserved, and that cost is incurred by the Trust immediately.
In particular, the fee is not refunded if you change your mind, if you do not appear for the examination, if you are absent on the day you selected, if you are found ineligible on details you entered yourself, or if your application or result is cancelled for malpractice or false information.
The fee is shown to you on the payment screen before you pay. Please make sure your details are correct on the review screen before continuing — that screen is your last chance to correct them.
The Premium Mock Pack
The Premium Mock Pack is refundable in full within 7 days of purchase, provided no paper in the pack has been started. Once you begin any paper in the pack, the pack has been used and is no longer refundable.
When we do refund
You were charged twice
If you were charged more than once for the same application, we refund every extra charge in full. Tell us and we will process it; in most cases our own reconciliation finds it first.
Money was debited but your application was not confirmed
This is almost always a payment that is still in transit rather than money we have received. Our system re-checks the status of every unconfirmed payment automatically with the gateway. If the payment did reach us, your application is completed automatically and your application number is issued — you do not need to pay again, and you do not need to do anything.
If the payment did not reach us, the amount is released by your bank or the gateway back to the original payment method, typically within 5 to 7 working days. Every such payment is resolved one way or the other within 24 hours of the attempt. Please do not pay a second time until you have contacted us — paying twice is the most common reason candidates end up needing a refund at all.
The examination is cancelled by the Trust
If the Trust cancels the examination and does not offer you a rescheduled date, the registration fee is refunded in full.
How to request a refund
Write to support@petet.org.in from the email address on your application, or call +91 76070 01015 or +91 90058 50486, with:
- your application number (or the registered mobile number, if no application number was issued);
- the payment reference or transaction number, and the date and amount;
- a short description of what happened.
We acknowledge every request within 2 working days and tell you our decision, with reasons, within 7 working days.
How long an approved refund takes
An approved refund is sent back to the original payment method — we cannot redirect it to a different card, account or UPI ID. Once we initiate it, the money typically reaches you in 5 to 7 working days, depending on your bank. We do not deduct any processing charge from an approved refund.
Chargebacks
If you believe a charge is wrong, please contact us first — we can almost always resolve it faster than your bank can. Raising a chargeback without contacting us may suspend your application while the bank's investigation runs.
