Terms & Conditions

1. Who these terms are between

These terms govern your use of petet.org.in and your participation in the Purvanchal Educational Trust Entrance Test (PETET), conducted by Purvanchal Educational Trust, a registered educational trust formed in 2021 with its registered office at Hakkabad, Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh 273016, India.

By registering, paying the fee or using this website you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not register.

2. What PETET is

PETET is an online, computer-based entrance examination conducted year-round on demand. It is used to award tuition-waiver scholarships under the Trust's Tuition Waiver Scholarship Programme and to support admission at partner colleges. Registering for and passing PETET does not by itself guarantee admission to any college or course. Admission remains subject to the partner college's own eligibility criteria, seat availability and verification of your documents.

3. Eligibility and accurate information

  1. You confirm that every detail you submit is true, complete and your own.
  2. Impersonation, a false date of birth, or any other false information leads to cancellation of your application and of any result already declared, without refund.
  3. One candidate may hold only one application per session. Duplicate registrations may be cancelled.
  4. If you are under 18, you must register with the consent of a parent or guardian, whose details you provide during registration.

4. Your account

Access to your dashboard is protected by a one-time password sent to your registered mobile number or email address. You are responsible for keeping that access to yourself. Do not share a one-time password with anyone, including anyone claiming to be from the Trust — we will never ask you for it.

5. Fees and payment

  1. The registration fee is displayed on the payment step before you pay, and that displayed amount is the authoritative one.
  2. Fees are payable online in Indian Rupees through our payment gateway.
  3. Your application number is issued once the payment is confirmed. Until then your application is not complete.
  4. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.
  5. The Trust may revise the fee, the schedule and the scholarship criteria for future sessions. Any change is published on this website and never applies retrospectively to a fee you have already paid.

6. Taking the examination

  1. The examination is taken in your own browser. Arranging a working device, a supported browser and a stable internet connection is your responsibility.
  2. The examination clock is controlled by our server, not by your device. Refreshing, reconnecting or changing device does not reset or extend your time.
  3. Each candidate gets one attempt at the real PETET per session. Mock tests may be attempted more than once.
  4. Your answers are saved continuously while you write, so a brief disconnection does not lose work already submitted.

7. Examination malpractice

The following are treated as malpractice and are logged automatically: leaving or switching away from the examination window, opening the paper on a second device, taking help from another person, and attempting to copy, photograph or publish question content. Malpractice may lead to the attempt being invalidated and the application cancelled, without refund, at the Trust's discretion.

8. Results, and how to raise a concern

Your paper is evaluated automatically against the answer key. The result, rank and percentile published by the Trust are final, subject only to the process below.

If you believe there is an error in your result, write to support@petet.org.in from your registered email address, quoting your application number, within 15 days of your result being published. We acknowledge within 2 working days and give a reasoned reply within 15 working days. There is no fee for raising a concern. Concerns raised after 15 days may not be considered, because ranks and scholarship allocations depend on a settled result set.

9. Scholarships

Qualifying candidates enter the Trust's Tuition Waiver Scholarship Programme. The qualifying score and the waiver are published on this website and on your scorecard. A waiver applies to tuition fees at a participating partner college and is subject to verification of your documents and to the college's admission process. It is not payable to you in cash and is not transferable.

10. Intellectual property

The question papers, the syllabus, this website and the PETET name and logo belong to Purvanchal Educational Trust. You may use them only to take the examination. Reproducing, distributing or publishing question content — including in coaching material or on social media — is prohibited and may lead to cancellation of your result and to legal action.

11. Availability and liability

We work to keep the portal available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, and we may suspend the service for maintenance. Where an examination attempt is lost through a verified fault of ours, our responsibility is to give you a fresh attempt, or to refund the fee for that examination if a fresh attempt is not possible. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you have actually paid us. We are not liable for a failure of your own device, browser or internet connection, or for events beyond our reasonable control.

12. Grievance redressal

Any complaint may be sent to Mr. Mithilesh Pandey, Authorised Signatory, Purvanchal Educational Trust, at support@petet.org.in or on +91 76070 01015. We acknowledge within 2 working days and aim to resolve within 15 working days.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
